POWWOW was a creative quickening in the central Pacific, run and founded by Jasper Wong, a Hong Kong curator slash Hawain native who I was fortunate enough to meet a couple of weeks ago.

Meggs opened his continuation of the King for a Day Show at Above Second Gallery last Friday. Looking good, the color theme works well.

HK illustrator John Woo, not the same John which brought us such greats as Faceoff, did a pretty awesome job of styling Vader, A Storm Trooper, Jar Jar, Clone Trooper, Boba, A Scout Trooper and Jango.

Although wouldn’t it make more sense for Jar Jar to be all suckered out in Supreme and Visvim? I always pictured Boba as having more class than that.

Be good to see Ackbar being tres amaze in Westwood and Bib Fortuna in Rick Owens.
