Part of our foreign family, LA brand and artists Foreign Family will be launching their pop up gallery this Saturday in LA. Starting 7pm, with i was on that side of the world for it. will be a mad pissup and a dope show or art by Mr 44 and Johnny Punishment.

Mr 44 is part of No Comply, he has an insane illistrative style. I’ll hit him up for some examples of work and post  here soon.

 The exhibition ‘Uni-versos’ that was on until last month was a big success !

As I expected it to be…with amazing artists like that it couldn´t be any different.

It was like the rainest day ever…and people came…a lot of wet people came! And even though we had to close the doors for the rain not to get inside…and still when those people enterde the room they were nothing but pleased to went throught all that…it was worth it !

It was packed with people and filled with positive vibrations for those 3.

Sliks section

Jerry, Enivo and Sliks worked so hard, spent days and nights inside that gallery painting, thinking, discussing, how each one would put up their own “universe” on the walls and  still do a collective show that would integrate all of them. And that´s what became after all, one artistic and beautiful universe through the sensibility and vision of 3 amazing artists .

My humble contribution to the show was the text I translated and that became a banner and was hung on the entrance wall, made me glad to feel part of it somehow.

Heads up people, here is the lineup for the 2008 No Comply exhibition. Its come a long long way since the first shows, but the loves still there.

A finer bunch of rogues have never congregated in single a group show.

Although there are still a couple of artists which i’m waiting to hear back from, this is, essentially, the final list.

No Comply 08 will be held during November in Melbs, December in Sydney, then then off to Left Foot In Taipei for Jan/Feb 09.

I’d like to say thanks to Carhartt and Red Bull Australia for backing No Comply. If not for their support, the costs of this show would have been prohibitive.

This is some very momentous news, not only is Reka bringing his Tall Oaks show to Melbourne where it rightly belongs, but also our boy Chewy is will be opening the awesome No Vacancy.

No Vacancy’s will be casting a neon shadow over Melbourne as a mammoth space with already impresive lineup of shows, starting with a group of which i’ll be posting some information on later this week.

Phibs, the most important figure in the development of Melbourne street art and his girl Deb are having their first duel show at Hogan Gallery on the 3rd.

Also we will be stocking a series of painting and prints by Phibs on NiceProduce by the end of the month, keep an eye out.
