You’re probably wondering what the hell has been going on in the NiceProduce camp for the past few week. If you haven’t, which is more than likely the case, then you will hear what I have to say anyway.

NiceProduce is going to Europe.

We’ve been working our guts out on NiceProduce V2, and I can tell you that it’s going to kick ass. It’s like, HAL meets a blind kid, and the kid doesn’t know how amazing HAL is, because he thinks HAL is just an ordinary person with a vocalizer like Stephen Hawkins, and little does he know that HAL is really a super smart chess playing mother fucking computer made in the 70’s.

That’s the new NiceProduce. Smarter than you think, more superior than you need, and hell does it make our life easy. Like Alex said, it’s a super smart content management system that took months to build but only 2 people in the world will use it.

That’s how we roll.

In the mean time, I’m packing my shit and moving to Sweden. NiceProduce is stretching it’s reach to Europe, where I’ll be setting up camp and bringing you the best Europe has to offer.

More to come soon. Oh, and if you haven’t gotten your NoComply invites yet… just come to the second opening. ๐Ÿ˜‰

PEACE LOVE.

I wanna give props.

I wanna give props to the Everfresh Crew. Thanks again for having us down on Friday.

I was thinking about your studio over the weekend, how it’s a hive of creativity, how some of the best artwork and ideas on the planet are conceived in a studio in this very city, by artists who live and breathe Melbourne.

The statements being made (like the one above) about “Banning the Can” are on point, and I wanna give props to Everfresh for flying the flag. All of you have contributed so much to Melbourne, whether it be with your talent, and most importantly, positive contributions and attitude.

So many people take your work for granted.

Whether it be photography by tourists, photography by locals, work being published uncredited in tourism documents and on the telly… we know it’s downright plagiarism, keep your heads up, we support you.

I urge all of you reading this to get the Everfresh Blog in your daily feeds and support Melbourne’s biggest asset.

PEACE.

Bumped into you-know-who tonight.

I caught our homeboy Meggs preparing for his show Own Worst Enemy which opens this Thursday at Don’t Come Gallery here in Melbourne.

Thanks for having us down Everfresh. Lots of juicy photos to come.

Keep it locked.

We’re asking the question…

Whether you love or hate this fixed gear “fixocalypse”, you can’t go past this blog, 2V. Two dudes, Cedrik & Viktor, team up with Eastpak to deliver one of the better photo projects I’ve seen in a long, long time.

High contrast B&W, clever use of fish-eye lenses and quality compositions.

After being in a city for 10 years, you sometimes lose your inspiration to shoot, however it’s photography like this that inspires me to pick up my cameras and shoot all weekend. I’m gonna be staring at these all day. Big ups.

Sniffed out at trackosaurus rex.

RIP Richard Wright. Shine on, brother.

Pink Floyd member Richard Wright dies at age 65

LONDON (AP) โ€” Richard Wright, a founding member of the rock group Pink Floyd, died Monday. He was 65.

Pink Floyd’s spokesman, Doug Wright, who is not related to the artist, said Wright died after a battle with cancer at his home in Britain. He says the band member’s family did not want to give more details about his death.

Wright met Pink Floyd members Roger Waters and Nick Mason in college and joined their early band, Sigma 6. Along with the late Syd Barrett, the four formed Pink Floyd in 1965.

I remember being in London in 2006. I arrived in the morning direct from NYC, to find Syd Barrett had passed on. Good mourning London. I spent the first few days sitting in a garden in Westbourne Park going through the earlier Pink Floyd discography, I still have the headline.

Now another sad wake up message in 2008, my heros are slowly finding their way to that great gig in the sky.

Shine on Richard Wright. An inspiration and a legend. We will miss you.

Peace.

The weekend

Friday, September 5th, 2008

The weekend is here. Nothing but beer, football finals,ย  Bootleg Session DVD’s (courtesy of Relax/Ride, something we should all be doing), GTA IV, Mario Kart, riding pushies, partying, mad loving, working on Nice v2 for YOU lot and probably some sleep in between it all.

May not be your cuppa, but I have waited for that drop of premium all week. Time to kick back, relax and open some suckers up on GTA.

See you Monday.

Happy Birthday: Us.

Can you believe it’s been 3 years already?

From a little idea to a big world, thanks to everyone past and present who have been involved in the “Nice way of life”.
Shouts to our immediate families and crews who keep us strong.
Shouts to our loyal supporters and customers who got taste.
Shouts to Melbourne city…

… and never forgetting the most important shout of all — to the artists and contributors, we’ve seen you grow in leaps and bounds. From the suburbs to the globe, don’t stop. The world is yours for the taking!

We’ve got plans as long as our rubber arms, Nice V2 is coming close, our range is expanding and the world is taking notice. There couldn’t be a better time to be feeling Nice.

PEACE & LONG LIVE THE NEW FRESH!

Sahtel meets Mash

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

“The new 7th issue of Sahtel magazine featured an exclusive interview with MASH members Garret Chow and Jonathan Burkett. Hereby weโ€™re publishing the original english version of the text along with some of the photos over our website. The interview is made by Lily Lin. Enjoy.”

The MASH crew definitely have a lot to answer for. On my last trip to Tokyo, the cities infamous BNE smothering was pretty much over taken by MASH paraphernalia. When I dropped in to WBASE, I was met with a lot of young Tokyo hipsters and gaijins riding some seriously hot customs. I’ve posted the shots up elsewhere on this blog, but the fixie epedemic is definitely in full force with the MASH massive on the fore front.

A great read and some insight into the MASH lifestyle, not to mention lots of excellent photography. All these shots of people in the summer time is getting me anxious.

Enjoy the article.
