I haven’t done a wall by myself in a long time. Was super happy with the outcome and the poppy colours…
Myself, Teazer and Roach painted this ripper (oooh) couple of weeks back. Psyched on the outcome. Was good to paint with Teazer again. More photos at Roachy’s blog http://theopeninghours.com.au/roach/?p=601
If you’re in Sydney next week, get down to this one. All the work is looking amazing! Lo-Fi Collective.
If you’re in Adelaie. Get down.
For anyone in Sydney tomorrow night (4th of November), get down to Lo-Fi Collective for the opening of my new exhibition, “The Weird Machine”. 6pm, above Kinselas at Taylor Square.
Kings among men. Sign painters are a dying breed and this documentary will be an awesome insight into the processes and personalities. I’m psyched to see these guys paint. Especially Jeff Canham from New Bohemia Signs.
“The Sign Painter movie is currently in Production as of March 2010. This documentary is about sign painters in America. Those who were and still are walking the streets and using their talent to get a message across. You see their work daily on windows, sandwich-boards, boats, cars, billboards, in businesses, playgrounds, farmers markets and even theme parks to name a handful of spots.
Who are these people? Where did they learn their trade and is it a dying craft? Directors Faythe Levine & Sam Macon will bring you their story over the next few years”
Sneaky peak at the “Scratching the Surface” project myself, Beastman, Phibs, Roach and Max Berry have been working on. Everything is unveiled this Thursday night in Sydney. More info at www.creativesydney.com.au/events/sydney-sessions/scratching-the-surface
