Everfresh updated the wall at Melbourne’s shittest bar (and home away from home) last Sunday. Drank beer and listened to the sounds of a stinking hot alleyway, hearkening back to the good ol’ Rancho Daze. Long before the proliferation of wakness.

Yo. I know this is a little late for NY howzits, but, howzit?
I just got back from Berlin, man, what an unbelievable city you cats got. I have to get back to explore some more, 4 days of parties and hangovers did me no justice.
I dropped in on our Berlin retailer Van Liebling, and was happy to see the Meggs x Orko & Nice Classic T’s in the front window. Mr Van Liebling himself was running things on NYE of all days, and invited us into his world for one hell of a NYE party. No photos, and no questions.
Cop a few flicks of Van Liebling over in Berlin.
Thank you (and your people) for the hospitality mate. See you all again soon.
Happy New Year everyone, more reaches from the North in 09. NiceProduce is running worldwide. Drop me a line if you’re ever in town.
PEACE.
Thanks everyone.
enjoy some YMO.

In 1975, Alejandro Jodorowsky embarked on the adaptation of Frank Herbets Dune.
The film planned a cast which included, Salvidor Dali, Orson Wells and Mick Jager with a soundtrack by Pink Floyd, the film would have summarized the psychedelic creative spirit of the 70’s in a way which would of still been endearing today.
Unfortunately… due to lack of funding the film with its 14 hour epic script was canned. Luckily, at least the character and set design from the likes of Giger, Chris Foss and Moebius endure, to placate our need to imagine what the film would of be like while further lamenting its loss.
Here are some beautifully detailed and colored Dune character designs by the influential French comic book artist, Moebius which i think precede Peter Chung really nicely, particularly from Reign.
You can find out more about the Unseen Dune here.
On a side note.. This is why popular culture sucks and why i need to stab people who listen to shit music and watch shit films, ultimately throughout history such people are individually responsible for funding going to mediocre commercial projects rather than enriching ones such as the Unseen Dune. Its a crime against humanity and it should be treated like one and I for one put my hand up to help administer the justice.
About the closest thing to the old UO flourbag xploit in real life that we’ll ever come across.
Harvey Normans have a match any price by 10% policy, MSY is a asian import computer joint with low low prices.
Print out MSY’s price list take it to Harvey Normans and pick up a the industry standard Canon G10 for $517 which is less that Harvey Normans pays wholesale.
Happy belated Xmas.
Lets not lie to ourselves, we’ve all thought, often talked about, doing it… Haven’t we?
One of the icons, standing to highlight the hypocrisy and ignorance of the Melbourne city council and its confused stance on Street art and graffiti has been capped.
The Banksy stencil opposite the police station on Flinders lane which the Melbourne City council had “protected” by a perspex sheet sitting a couple of inches off the wall was ceremoniously covered in silver paint this weekend and finished off with a “Banksy Woz Ere” tag, either by same or different person. Nice touch.
The perspex sheet was put up to “stop vandalism” of the stencil which the council has recently deemed valuable as a tourist attraction and land mark, no doubt thanks to the main steam media coverage on the collectability and value of Banksy’s work.
Ironically while proving to have had negligible protective value the perspex most likely motivated the capping.
Tale of a confused city.
Amazing.
We’ll never know for sure, but I think these conflicting points and more such as the obvious futility of protecting street art, were going through the head of whoever capped this piece, no doubt as a direct message to the city council rather than as a critisism of Banksy’s artwork.
It’s a shame that our city is run by people of such myopic and vulgar tastes that they need the value of artwork or of an artist to be spelt out to them in big bold letters by a respected source from overseas before they can recognize it for themselves.
Cognitive Dissident.
